Avidia is built for HR and payroll teams operating across Africa, the MENA region, and beyond — which means compliance isn't a feature, it's a foundation. This page summarizes how we approach data protection, regional labour and payroll regulations, and industry standards.
We handle personal data in line with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR for individuals in the European Economic Area. See our GDPR Compliance page for the full details on data subject rights, international transfers, and how to make a request.
Avidia's payroll engine is built to reflect the tax rules, statutory contributions, and labour regulations of each of the 28 countries we support across Africa and MENA. For the UAE and Saudi Arabia, we generate Wage Protection System (WPS)-compliant salary information files that can be submitted directly to the relevant authorities. Country-specific configuration is reviewed and updated as regulations change.
We host our infrastructure with cloud providers that maintain internationally recognized certifications, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2, and we follow industry-standard practices for encryption, access control, and monitoring. See our Security page for more detail.
Where regional or contractual requirements call for it, we work with customers to accommodate data residency needs as part of their onboarding and account setup.
Regulatory requirements change, and we review our practices on an ongoing basis to keep pace — particularly for payroll and labour law updates across the markets we serve.
If you have compliance questions specific to your organisation or region, reach out to admin@avidiasoft.com and our team will help.
